Unicoi Hill Park to Unicoi State Park & Back, Moderate 8 Miles

Weather permitting, let's head for the North Georgia Mountains, hopefully dodging holiday crowds during this week-day hike, that will begin in the heart of Helen, at Unicoi Hill Park, parking is free. The Park is located on White Street, opposite Hofer's Bakery & Cafe parking lot (see photo).

We'll hike to Unicoi State Park (2 miles), include the Lake Loop at Unicoi (2 miles), then hike back to the City's Park. This trail is rated moderate in AllTrails. Pace will be set to the slowest, aim for 2-2.5 mph (not a sprint, not a stroll). Bring water, snack if you like. Will break as needed.

Please allow for some flexibility, end time is a guesstimate. Optional lunch afterwards.
