THANKSGIVING: OVER THE BRIDGE TO JAPAN!

Details

This holiday celebration is a moderately-paced walk of approximately seven historic miles with lovely views of the Palisades and surroundings. We will walk over the George Washington Bridge, stopping at historic sites with great photo opportunities with our last stop at Mitsuwa Marketplace in Edgewater, New Jersey where we can enjoy Japanese treats (or it is fine to bring your own). The marketplace is a treasure of Japanese artifacts and there is a large food court as well as a proper Japanese supermarket. No reservations are necessary.

Afterward there will be an optional walk (on your own) on the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway to Hoboken/Jersey City. Check out the route. There are buses back to both the George Washington Bridge Bus Station and the Port Authority Bus Terminal in front of the market. Check out the New Jersey Transit bus schedules.

Leader: Margo Moss [email protected] We will meet at 10:00 AM at the George Washington Bridge Bus Station (between Broadway and Fort Washington Avenue and West 178th and West 179th Streets) in the third floor waiting room where bathrooms and comfortable seating are available.
