What we’re about
All singles 50 years of age or more residing full or part time in or near the West Valley of Phoenix are invited to meet in various West Valley venues or Arizona tourist attractions and socialize for coffees, game nights, team trivia, dine-out, day trips, museum visits, dancing, happy hours, movies, concerts, sports events, street fairs, easy to medium hikes, and whatever our members suggest to make this a fun social group. Day trips/night events have included Dolly Steamboat, Lake Pleasant sunset music cruise, Renaissance Festival, Wickenburg rodeo, Vulture City ghost town tour, Hassayampa River Preserve hike, Boyce Thompson Arboretum hike and picnic, Desert Botanical Garden day hike/Luminarias night event, and Phoenix Zoo Lights night tour.
When with us, you agree to comply with our Policies, which among other things, prohibit harassment of any member in any manner either at our events or away from them. We are not a dating site; unsolicited contact for a date is a form of harassment and will result in removal of membership, as will creating a scene at one of our events.
Although there were no dues to be a member in 2021-2024, annual dues for several years prior thereto were $7. Based on current website hosting fees charged by Meetup.com, we will need to ask for dues in 2025.
You further agree that attendance at our events is voluntary. Each attendee at an event assumes the risk of personal injury, medical treatment, illness, and/or resultant death. Furthermore, everyone who attends an event releases and waives West Valley Mature Singles and every leader and member thereof from any and all liability, causes of action, claims, damages, or other costs whether incurred directly by the attendee or by his or her close contacts arising out of any such occurrence and specifically from exposure to or illness or injury from a communicable disease, including COVID-19, which may result from having attended an event.
Having said that, our objectives, at which we are EXCELLENT in achieving, are to have fun :) and make or keep lasting friendships. We strongly discourage cliques, which makes our gatherings all the more enjoyable. The more time that members spend together, the greater the bonds of friendship have become for both new and existing members.
