You wake up early now, and you eat healthy. You are firmly entrenched in stability and career. You have no room in your life for drug abuse and flakiness but you still haven’t let go of your glory days of rock and roll decadence and shenanigans. You like your coworkers and neighbors just fine. They are good people but they are into golf and church while you still yearn to drink cheap beer in hole in the wall clubs and argue about whether Dio was better than Ozzy.
You are not alone so let’s meet up.
On the agenda: 1) drink cheap beer in hole in the wall rock venues. 2) go check out bands, maybe even on weekday nights 3) turn each other on to music, cult films, art, comic books and other crucial stuff. 4) debate topics of global importance, such as whether Van Halen was any good with Sammy Hagar. 5) reminiscence about the CBGB men’s room (a topic open to both men and women) 6) share “ Henry Rollins was a jerk to me” stories 7) share tips on professional networking, taxes, investing strategies, information technology and remaining sane in a world where we don’t 100% fit.
