Details
Incontriamoci a questo concerto, io suonerò nell'orchestra.
Il capolavoro di Handel, il più conosciuto. Da allora, ad ogni incoronazione nel Regno Unito suonano uno dei suoi brani, questo: Zadok the priest.
East Oxford Community Choir is joined by the singers of Ensemble Vocal Interlude from Grenoble, one of Oxford's twin cities, in a performance of Handel's Messiah, first performed in Dublin in 1742, which has become one of Britain's best-loved choral works.
The Messiah tells the story of Christ's birth, life, death and resurrection through biblical texts, with music composed in just 24 days, including the famous Hallelujah Chorus, when the audience, by longstanding tradition rises to its feet. Under the brilliant young conductor, Dexter Drown, with a period instrument orchestra and a stellar line-up of soloists including Hannah Fraser-Mackenzie, this will be a thrilling performance.
