**What to expect:**
This month's social will be taking place at the Royal Oak! This event will be held indoors and will be an open social event where members have the opportunity to chat and socialise with one another. People can come and go at whatever time suits their needs. Most attendees come from a range of diverse backgrounds. All ages are welcome, with a majority of members likely to be aged between 25-45.

**Important Information:**

* There is no set time for members to arrive and/or leave this event.
* No-shows will be at risk of being removed from the group.

**The Plan:**
There will be space reserved under the name of the event host for this event. Once the host has arrived, the location of this space will be posted in the comments. From then on, we will socialise throughout the night, until the event comes to a close.

**Q&A**

**I'm new and feel anxious. Is this group not right for me?**
Attending for the first time is pushing you out of your comfort zone, so it is normal to feel anxious. I felt the same when I first attended. We always have a mixture of new and old faces. Regulars are very welcoming and it takes only 2-4 events for most members to feel settled in. My advice is to give it shot and reflect afterwards if the event is right for you.

**How will I find you?**
Once I arrive, I will share in the comments roughly where we are located, with a description of what I'm wearing. If the venue has table numbers, I will also mention them.

**Do I have to drink alcohol?**
What you drink is completely up to you. If this was the case, I would not be able to attend myself!

**Can I bring additional people with me?**
Yes you can, but please put them as +1 in your check-in so I can try and find us enough space.

**Will we be off out to dance after the event?**
If going out to dance is what you're looking for, you unfortunately won't see this arranged by the event organisers. However, members are welcome to organise additional activities once the event is over.

**Group Rules**
These are the policies in place for the group:
**1) Be respectful of others.**
You are going to meet a diverse range of people, so there are bound to be individuals you don't click with. Rather than make an argument with them, just accept you are different. Additionally, do not harass members outside of events. This includes face-to-face and social media sites.
**2) Make sure you correctly update your attending status.**
Not knowing the correct number of attendees can have a negative impact on the event taking place. Members have three lives and once these have gone, unless there is a good reason for your absences, you will be removed from the group. Forgetting that you signed up is not a valid reason to not appear.
**3) Do not turn up for events you have not signed up for.**
This can potentially lead to difficulties in hosting an event. We don't want to find a member who shows up for pizza, but there is no space on the table!
**4) Do not advertise your own activities in the group without permission.**
Whilst we are happy to see additional events, they must apply to the group's structure. If you want to advertise any of your events, contact Kevin.
**5) Do not take control of events hosted.**
The organisers already have a plan for the event they are hosting. To prevent any difficulties, respect what the organisers have set up for you. Members are welcome to organise additional activities once the event is over.
**6) Appreciate what the organisers do.**
Please remember we are not a business and that all the organisers in the group are hosting events on a voluntary basis. The events we host are for ourselves to enjoy as much as you.

Anyone who does not apply to these rules is at risk of being removed from the group.
