**What to expect:**
You are welcome to come along to a pub quiz at The Holly Bush. The main focus of this event is to socialise and have fun, with winning the quiz being a bonus. No one will be judged.

**Important Information**

* The quiz will cost £1 per person to take part.
* To prevent accusations of cheating, mobile phones must not be used whilst the quiz is on going.
* No shows are at risk of being removed from the group.

**The Plan:**
The quiz normally begins at 8pm, so it is important everyone arrives by then. If you fancy ordering food, I recommend arriving at 7:30pm, so it can be ordered before the quiz starts. Each team can have a maximum of six members, so we will divide ourselves into two teams if we exceed that number.

**Q&A**

**I'm new and feel anxious. Is this group not right for me?**
Attending for the first time is pushing you out of your comfort zone, so it is normal to feel anxious. I felt the same when I first attended. You will also not be alone! We always have a mixture of new and old faces. Regulars are very welcoming and it takes only 2-4 events for most members to feel settled in. My advice is to give it shot and reflect afterwards if the event is right for you.

**I'm not good at quizzes, does this mean I cannot come?**
You will not be alone as, unless the questions relate to football, 90's music or video games, I am useless at quizzing myself! Remember, general knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit, common sense is knowing it goes better with salad. Being weak at quizzes does not mean we're silly! Additionally, the core focus of the event is to socialise with each other and have a good time, with winning being a bonus.

**Do I have to stay until the end?**
Whilst it would benefit the teams if you did, everyone is free to leave when they see fit. There is no need to stay until the very end through feelings of guilt or missing public transport.

**Can I bring additional people with me?**
Yes you can, but please put them as +1 in your check-in so I can try and find us enough space.

**Group Rules**
These are the policies in place for the group:

**1) Be respectful of others.**
You are going to meet a diverse range of people, so there are bound to be individuals you don't click with. Rather than make an argument with them, just accept you are different. Additionally, do not harass members outside of events. This includes face-to-face and social media sites.

**2) Make sure you correctly update your attending status.**
Not knowing the correct number of attendees can have a negative impact on the event taking place. All it takes is a quick tap on your phone to update your status.

**3) Do not turn up for events you have not signed up for.**
This can potentially lead to difficulties in hosting an event. We don't want to find a member who shows up for pizza, but there is no space on the table!

**4) Do not advertise your own activities in the group without permission.**
Whilst we are happy to see additional events, they must apply to the groups structure. If you want to advertise any of your events, contact Kevin.

**5) Do not take control of events hosted.**
The organisers already have a plan for the event they are hosting. To prevent any difficulties, respect what the organisers have set up for you. Members are welcome to organise additional activities once the event is over.

**6) Appreciate what the organisers do.**
Please remember we are not a business and that all the organisers in the group are hosting events on a voluntary basis. The events we host are for ourselves to enjoy as much as you.

Anyone who does not apply to these rules is at risk of being removed from the group.
