A nice enough walk from Brize Norton to Burford via Shilton. And best of all, after an optional refreshment you can get the bus back to Brize for £2. Of course, you can always walk it in reverse but I will be on the bus. :-)

We will leave promptly at 10am so please allow time to put your boots on, etc. Parking is free in Brize Norton in the village hall (Elderbank) car park opposite the Chequers Public House.

Please wear walking boots or wellies. There will be a couple of short muddy bits. There are a couple of slopes but nothing that counts as a hill (imo!).

There is a walk along the road (on pavement) from Brize toward Shilton but there are a couple of things to see along the way.

Walking is at your own risk, as always.

We can probably find a pub in Burford for a drink afterwards before catching the bus back to Brize, which is 25 minutes past the hour from outside the Primary School in Priory Lane.
I would guess we'd be on the 1.25 if you just want a quick coffee or 2.25 / 3.25 if you fancy a more leisurely coffee and cake (or pub lunch) and/or or a mooch around Burford. (maybe the 12.25 if you don't want to stop at all in Burford but that might be pushing it. )

I'm inclined not to book anywhere and go for coffee and cake rather than a pub lunch as people may be eating out in the evening. Thoughts?

The bus back takes 16 minutes.
