Private Tour of Queen Califia's Magical Circle
Details
It's been ten years since we've done this one! Please join us on a private tour of Nikki De St Phalle's final work, Queen Califia's Magical Circle at Kit Carson Park in Escondido. We will meet at 8:45 and the one-hour tour will start at 9:00 AM.
Two important notes:
1. There is a $5 fee per person to attend this event, cash only. I paid for upfront in order to make the reservation, so you will be reimbursing me. (If you no-show, you will be stiffing me.)
2. In the event of rain or heavy fog, the garden will be closed due to safety issues. We will reschedule if that happens.
Queen Califia's Magical Circle is the only American sculpture garden created by French artist Niki de Saint Phalle (1930-2002). The garden consists of nine large-scale sculptures, a circular "snake wall" and maze entryway, sculptural integrated bench seating and native shrubs and trees planted within the interior plaza and along the outer perimeter.
As this tour is limited to twelve members please only RSVP if you are 100% sure you can make it.
We will meet in the parking lot just north of the garden. To get there, enter the park at the light (Entrance Drive), then turn right on Casteneda Drive at the 'T'. Follow that until you come to a stop sign. You'll see a sign for Queen Califa on the left, follow the arrow!
Please Note: By submitting a YES RSVP and participating in any PPS event, you agree that PPS, Organizers, and Event Hosts are NOT responsible for your safety or for any injury or damage to your person or your property, or that of your guest(s). You agree that you have read the instructions of the announcement and that you and your guest(s) are assuming all risks of participating in the event.
