Details

Join us at the March Field Air Museum located next to March Air Base in Perris (however their actual address is Riverside.) The Museum features 115 aircraft spanning 120 years of military aviation history. While most of the aircraft are displayed outside, there are a few inside along with diverse exhibits of interesting artifacts and memorabilia. The interiors of the aircraft are not accessible, but you are able to get right up close to the exteriors. There is a wide range of aircraft on display including a number of helicopters. Lots of photo opportunities.

Regular admission is $18, with discounted rates of $12 for seniors and $10 for Veterans.

We will meet just outside the Museum entrance at 9:15 am for introductions, greetings and group photo. After that, we'll enter, pay individually and then wander the Museum's interior and exterior.

The Museum hours are 9 am to 5 pm, so you are welcome to stay longer than the 2 hours noted as our event time.

For this shoot, I'd recommend wider angle lenses. Also, most of the interior exhibits are behind glass, so a polarizing filter would be helpful to reduce glare reflections.

Except for an exterior observation tower (from where this photo was taken), all of the Museum is on flat ground with no stairs. At this time of the year, it may be cold outside so you may want to think layers of warmth. (If rain ends up being forecasted, we may reschedule for better weather.)

This is about a 75 minute drive up the 15 & 215 from San Diego (on a Sunday morning.) There is ample free parking at the Museum.
