Kayaking 101

Are you a Palm Beach Pack and Paddle Member who would like to learn the basics of Kayaking? Beginners and First Timers are welcomed. We will provide basic kayaking instruction, a properly fitted PFD (Personal Flotation Device/Life Jacket), a paddle and a kayak. After a basic orientation we will take a short leisurely paddle launching from Okeeheelee Park South Boat Ramp.

Meet at 10:00 am at 7715 Forest Hill Blvd, West Palm Beach. Go South from Forest Hill (Not North)..go past the equestrian facility on your right and take the first left turn into the parking lot, boat launch and restrooms.

Please wear a hat, sunscreen and shoes that can get wet. Also bring a bottle of water and any desired snacks.

Must be a Pack and Paddle Member or you can join there by filling out a membership form ($20.00 for a year). Please RSVP to Rachel at 561-358-9568 to reserve necessary equipment.

By providing an RSVP you agree to wear a fastened properly fitted PFD (Personal Flotation Device/Life Jacket) and agree to hold Palm Beach Pack and Paddle and their trip leaders harmless for any injuries or damages. We look forward to getting you out on the water and sharing the fun!
