PAPB Contributing Artists are invited to participate in the Plein Air Palm Beach Fine Art Show at the Delray Beach Public Library from Monday December 2nd through Wednesday, February 5th. If you are not already a Contributing Artist you can become one by paying $35 through this link to the Plein Air Palm Beach website:

Take-in will be on Monday December 2nd from 10AM to 12 noon. Take-down will be on Wednesday February 5th also from 10AM to 12 noon. All paintings will need to be properly framed with wire on the back (no saw tooth hardware). There is a $15 exhibition charge. Please pay by RSVP'ing and using the Paypal link.
All Contributing Artists who intend to exhibit must upload up to four plein air paintings through Meetup by Monday, November 18th. Please include title, size, medium, price and artist's name as a caption with each photo on Meetup. After you upload a painting you will see 3 dots on the upper right which will allow you to add a caption. A few days before the show, we will determine how many paintings each Contributing Artist can display depending on how many artists choose to participate.
Please attach a label on the back of each painting with the same caption information plus contact information to allow a potential buyer to reach you (phone number and/or email address, as you prefer). This will not be a juried show but all plein air paintings will be checked by the library for suitability. Sales tax collection, 10% contribution to PAPB and 20% contribution to the Delray Beach Public Library will be the responsibility of the individual artist who will meet with the buyer to complete the sale. Please call June Knopf (973 216-7993) if you are about to make a sale, for help with paying the contributions and replacing a painting that is sold. All paintings exhibited will remain on display until the exhibit ends on February 5th unless sold, in which case the replacement painting will remain on exhibit until February 5th.
New this year is a special section dedicated to paintings with depictions of books, bookstores, or libraries. This will be a nice added touch if you happen to have created any book related plein air paintings!
IMPORTANT: There will be a Reception for the Plein Air Palm Beach Fine Art Show in the library’s first floor meeting room on Wednesday, December 11th from 3 to 5PM. The Reception will include a Holiday Pop-Up Sale of Unique Giftable items. We encourage all exhibiting artists to attend, to bring small artful items to sell, and to bring your friends! The reception is a great opportunity for the public to get to know you and your art. The 10% contribution to PAPB and 20% contribution to the Delray Beach Public Library is not required for the small items sold at the Pop-Up Sale. However, 7% sales tax must be charged and paid for items sold at both the Pop-Up Sale and the main Art Exhibit which will take place on the second floor of the library. Please let June Knopf know by November 18th if you will be selling in the Pop-Up Sale as well as the main Art Exhibit.
The Plein Air Palm Beach Fine Art Show is a wonderful opportunity to exhibit your art downtown during the height of the season. Please sign up and pay to become an Contributing Artist to participate in this show, and then pay $15 to participate. Remember to pay the required fees and upload images of your paintings to this Meetup site by the Monday, November 18th deadline.
