Singing is good for the soul -- and singing with others is one of the most joyful and healing things you can do!

Palmetto Peace Choir is open to ALL adults and mature high school students who love to sing! (Grades K-8 are invited to be in our Palmetto Youth Choir, which rehearses earlier on Mondays.) No audition or previous experience is required.

We explore an eclectic range of musical styles, and foster a fun, friendly and creative atmosphere. We work together to build choral skills and musicianship, while having fun and providing connection and community.

We offer heart-centered direction and guidance, while also maintaining steadfast musical integrity. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all, regardless of race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, color, national origin, religion, disability or age.

We are an independent choir, not affiliated with any school or church. We believe music can bring profound inspiration to those who wish to make the world a better place. We often choose music that shares universal messages of peace, hope, love and justice.

We rehearse Monday evenings at the James Island Arts & Cultural Center in Charleston, SC. Our choir season generally runs congruent to the school year. We will have one big Spring Concert, plus many other community performances & collaborations usually in December, May and early June. Exact event dates are shared as they are confirmed.

Our repertoire includes an eclectic range of music, such as folk, jazz, world, musical theatre, Americana, pop and traditional choral pieces. Reading music is not a requirement, but is a welcomed skill. Members learn musicianship, music literacy, vocal technique and performance skills, and participate in concerts and outreach and community events.

Come make great music and memories with us!
