Hey Everyone
WINTER PICKLEBALL UPDATE: Location: The 3.0 Courts # 's 10 to 21 which have better brighter LED lighting.... :)
SUMMERTIME NOTE: Remember to check the weather radar for rain at
the courts. When we do get rained out, let's meet at the Foxboro to cry in our drinks. When we get rained out on Wednesday, I'll post a Pickleball Event for Thursday.
Please Note: The Pickleball concession charges a $50/year Membership fee or a $5 Drop-In Charge to play daily from 7-11AM-ish and like 5-7:30PM-ish. You can pay at the Pro-shop.
If you need a paddle or have one to loan out, please post a comment as some Members have extra paddles. The Pro-Shop does loan out paddles of models they sell. I have not tried it, but on the west side of the old restrooms, there is a vending machine that takes credit cards and rents paddles for about $1/Hr if you need one.
Please use the Meetup phone app for Pickleball updates and which court # we are at.
To find the event organizer Bob H, look for the Dude wearing blue court shoes... :)
For the people new to the Game, here's a fairly decent Youtube Video below that explains the "Kitchen" or Non-Volley Zone. There are also many other videos that explain the basics that will make more sense after you've been on the court a couple of times. If you happen to watch championship Pickleball games, which is good to do, understand that is the same difference as a "flag-football game with friends" and the watching NFL games on TV.... :)

Some important reminders:
Warm up before playing as this will help to avoid painful injuries.
Bring lots of cold water....Drink plenty of water before, during, and after play....after the games cold beers and apps are an option at the near by Fox Bourgh Bar & Grill... :)
Sunglasses, hat, sunscreen and towel for daytime play....
At night, bring insect repellent just in case....
Hope to see you there on the courts with a paddle in hand.... :)
