The Social Scene Northern New Jersey Events - 20s 30s & 40s

The Book Club is a monthly discussion group which focuses on exploring different literary works through insightful conversation! We meet at the cafe at Barnes and Noble in Paramus, NJ.

It is an open choice group, where people can bring a book to discuss and then there will be questions about the book.

In addition, we will have unrelated topics! The questions of the month are as follows:

1. If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
2. If you could travel to any period throughout history, what would you pick and why?
3. What’s an experience that significantly shaped who you are today?

The cafe sells an assortment of food items including baked goods as well as cold beverages, coffee and tea.

Let’s spend time outdoors and exercise! Join us for a moderately paced walk on a paved walkway at Saddle River County Park in Paramus, New Jersey, and make connections along the way!
The walk will last for one hour and 20 minutes. Bring water if you would like to stay hydrated. The event is weather permitting.
Directions to the Saddle River County Park- Dunkerhook Area :
Turn onto Dunkerhook Road and you will then come across a sign that says Saddle River County Park. You will turn into the park there. There is parking near the playground. We will meet at the Pavilion next to the playground.

We leave the pavilion to walk at 3pm SHARP!

Optional dinner at Chick-Fil-A! directly after the walk. Chick-Fil-A! is approximately 5 minutes from the park. The address is 718 N State Route 17, Paramus, NJ.

Directions to Chick Fil A: You leave the park by making a left at dunkerhook road and make another left onto Paramus rd, you can stay in either lane ,stay straight on Paramus rd until you get to Ridgewood Ave. make a right at the light go straight on Ridgewood Ave when you reach the fork, bear to the left going towards 17 north, then chick fil a will be on the right hand side. Make a right into the parking lot.

Let’s play chess and board games! Please bring your own chess set or favorite board games to the event!

We will be meeting at the Barnes and Noble cafe in Paramus, NJ!
