What we’re about
Datamonster.IO is a data platform community that deals with all topics around data, from database development, data integration up to visualization. But also topics like Data Governance and Data Security are part of our focus.
The Regional Group Ruhrgebiet is a user group that provides a monthly hybrid event in the Ruhrgebiet area. Currently, we switch between Bochum, Mülheim an der Ruhr and Kamp-Lintfort.
The events are typically between 2 to 2.5 hours, and will be centered around 1 to 2 sessions around technical and strategical topics.
We welcome everyone with an interest in data platform related topics to attend, but also to use this opportunity to share knowledge and experiences.

Dear Datamonsters,
time for our 2024 X-MAS session. As it is our tradition (3rd time, so we can call it a tradition I guess :-D), we will meet at BP and visit the Bochum Christmas Market afterwards. Many thanks to Torsten Strauß for not only hosting the event once more, but sharing insights on Infrastructure as Code with ADO and Bicep as well.
Please be aware that because of the Christmas Market visit, we will start on hour earlier than normal, so at 6 pm!
And as always, you can also participate remotely via Teams. You will just miss most of the fun. ;-)
