Women's Ugly Winter Sweater Hike, Lunch & Gift Exchange

Join us for our monthly women's hike. This month we will be getting festive to celebrate the winter holidays with an Ugly Winter Sweater Hike, lunch and Gift Exchange.

Location: Leesylvania State Park

Hike: Lee Woods (2 mile), Potomac Trail(1 mile), Bushy Point Trail (1 mile)

Mileage/Hiking rate: 4 miles O/B Trails are rated as moderate

Meeting location: Please meet at the Breakwater Store (by the boat docks)

Fee: There is a $10 fee to enter the park, unless you have a state park pass. It might be a good idea to carpool if you dont have a park pass to share the cost.

Please bring the following items
Cold Weather Gear (hat/gloves), Water, Snacks, Backpack and hiking poles

After the hike we will head to local restraunt where we will have our Winter Celebration to include lunch, Hiking Gift Exchange and enjoy each others company.

Hiking Gift Exchange: If you are interested in participating in the Hiking Gift Exchange, please purchase a new hiking related item between 10-20 dollars. Wrap the item for the gift exchange.

Ugly Winter Holiday Sweater: If you are interested please wear your Ugly Winter Holiday Sweater. We will take a group pictures of our Ugly Sweaters!

The Wild Women Trampers is a group of women outdoor enthusiast who love to come together for fun, learning and outdoor adventure on and off the trail. We are the daughters of women pioneers and in us all lives that wild adventurous spirit!

While Wild Women Trampers is associated with the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club, you do not have to be a member to join our talks and adventures, though after a while we hope that you will come to love us and join the ranks of becoming one of us!

The Potomac Appalachian Trail Club is one of 31 Trail Clubs that maintain a section of the Appalachian Trail (AT) as well as other trails in our region.

Wild Women Trampers is more than a hiking club, this group will be used as a way to connect women to the outdoors and to foster a strong female outdoor community no matter who you are or where you are in your outdoor journey
