Life Day Celebration in Disneyland Park

Join us to celebrate Life Day on Batuu!

This joyous holiday celebrating family originated with the Wookiees on Kashyyyk and involved feasting and a journey to their Tree of Life. Life orbs and red robes were signature features of this occasion!
There was even a vid shown for a brief time on the HoloNet chronicling the Wookiee Chewbacca’s efforts (along with his human) to return home and celebrate the day! Sadly no official copies exist now, censored by the Galactic Empire apparently.
But after the fall of the Empire, the holiday and festivities including singing songs were often assimilated into other cultures!

Thus we’ll travel to Black Spires Outpost on Batuu (instead of Kashyyyk, fauna there too dangerous this time of year) where the holiday is observed after the Batuuan Harvest Festival. Interestingly, Jedi Knights and Padawans as well as Sith Lords (yes, >2) are all keen to celebrate there together!
You as (surviving) Time Lords and Earth companions will attire in your representative clothing - provided you adhere to the guidelines set forth by Star Tours and its parent corporation https://disneyland.disney.go.com/faq/parks/dress

Life day globes are encouraged – if Black Spires Outpost runs out, Kerblam! subsidiary Amazon sells some for $10-12 - but we’ll leave the wearing of red Wookiee robes up to you.
Knowledge of Shyriiwook is not necessary – though TARDIS translation circuits still seem to have trouble with it, Batuu natives can translate for us!

For our meeting point, you must purchase a Disneyland Park ticket or have a Magic Key pass – and make a Disneyland Park reservation for Nov 17 – in order to attend.

This event will cross-Meetup with the Disneyland Fan Club. In addition to DW, you may also Star Wars-bound with us. But if you defer either attire type, that's OK! You may feel more comfortable signing up with the DFC Meetup event instead.
