Poway/Black Mountain Toastmasters Club

First timers are welcome to attend ANY Thursday; all are welcome!

Even though we are meeting at a Church, we are not affiliated with it. We just rent a room there. Our club members are multicultural with different backgrounds.

Our meetings are Thursday from 6:45 PM-8:30 PM.

Please come by and try our meeting as a guest to see how you like it and if our club meets your needs. Our club offers improvement in public speaking skills, social skills, presentation skills, listening skills, and leadership skills.

Every Thursday we will have:

Prepared Speakers:
We will have up to three prepared speakers every week. Speakers will range from some of our newest members to very experienced and seasoned members who will all be working on a variety of projects to hone different speaking skills. Each speaker will be evaluated by a peer during our evaluation session.

Table Topics:
One of our members will conduct a round of Table Topics to help us all practice our impromptu speaking skills. Participants will be given a question and will present an on the spot answer for 1-2 minutes, and will also try to include use of the Word of the Day!

Guests:
Guests are always welcome! All those interested are encouraged to attend as guests up to 2 times prior to deciding to join or not. There is no formal process for attending, just show up a little before the 6:45pm meeting start time. You may participate in the Table Topics session if you want, but absolutely no pressure!
