Board Games for 50-Somethings!

INTRODUCING modern board games to those 50 and older! Interested in learning and playing modern board games? Come on down! This is a safe place to stretch your mind and mingle.

NEW LOCATION EFFECITVE AUGUST 15TH, 2024!!
Collective Oregon Eateries (COREpdx). Two blocks south of Powell on 82nd Ave. This is a food cart pod with a large building with A/C and heating. Word is there might be a new bar coming soon!

There will be some games available, but if you have a favorite, bring it with you! Be sure to RSVP and let us know if you're bringing a game in the comments, or if you have any questions, or game preferences. These are light- to medium-weight games. The objective here is to give older folks a safe environment for learning new games, and playing their favorites!

To be clear, these should be light- to mid-weight gateway games. Weight is determined by BoardGameGeek website complexity ratings. (Gateway games are games that introduce one to the hobby and get them hooked on playing!)

Game night is scheduled every other week and entrance is free!

A brief message about ground rules:

• Try your best to be on time. Otherwise, you may have to wait until a new - or another - game is starting.
• Please respect game components with clean hands and gentle touch.
• Discrimination of any kind and trash-talking will not be tolerated. (Please also refrain from engaging in politics while at the game table.)
• Start what you finish, even if it looks like you're going to lose. "It's not the destination, it's the journey" - Ralph Waldo Emerson. Also, errors will be made, above all else, remember, it's only a game!

In the meantime, feel free to come and go as needed. Look for the sign, "50 Somethings Game Night". Introduce yourself and say Hi!
