What we’re about
Summit 13ers and 14ers in all seasons, couloir climbs, rock scrambles, backpacking, snowshoeing, lake hikes! Join us for a variety of activities, for beginners through experienced. Most of these will occur at a slow to moderate pace, usually 1-2 mph avg. Let's get out there and enjoy our Colorado lifestyle!
I encourage people to get together outside of the planned events. If you're interested in an activity that's not posted, please post a comment in the Home comments section instead of the individual events.
If you would like to lead some activities please message Stephanie Irwin.

See all- "Drift Peak" (13,915') Class 2 Snowshoe and ClimbNeeds location
- "Drift Peak" is an unranked Centennial Peak that will be challenging and beautiful with the snow. From the summit there are stunning views of Quandary, Atlantic, Pacific and Fletcher mountains. This is NOT a beginner's hike. We'll start at Mayflower Gulch parking lot and hike in 1 1/2 miles to the mining cabins with astounding views. Then we'll begin the ascent of "Drift" that will have a gentle snow slope followed by a steeper rocky ridge with potentially difficult class 2 snowy scrambles. Next weekend may have light snow during the day and 20 mph+ winds. Sunday looks like it may have slightly lighter gusts, but it's hard to know a week in advance. As of Nov 7, The Snotel site on nearby Fremont Pass observed a 19" snow base. Watch comments for conditions updates and carpool options.
Since this is a training hike for me, I won't necessarily turn back early or wait for hikers that are slower than I am (I am not speedy). Be prepared to navigate back to the parking lot if you choose to turn around.
