Volunteer Day @ ARK Animal Shelter

Sherri from the ARK Animal Shelter (477 State Rt. 26, Lacon, IL 61540) has reached out regarding getting some volunteers at the shelter to help out.

As per Sherri, activities include sweeping and organizing garage space, gathering damaged roofing material and moving to a pile for removal, interior cleaning, and much more. Plus you get to be around dozens of cats, dogs, and may just find your new furry best friend!

Update 03/12/23 - I have met with Sherri and some of the immediate tasks that need completed are:
- Filling some ruts that the dogs have dug in the backyard
- Light painting of surfaces damaged by furniture & animals
- General housekeeping (laundry, sweeping, vacuuming, etc.)
- Cleaning up of the garage/barn (organizing tools, tables, etc.)
