What we’re about

Many Eastern spiritual traditions claim that we create our own reality. Is this really so? And if so, how can we use that to our advantage and profit from it?

The claim that we create our own reality is pretty strong, and it seems to me that we dismiss it because there's nuance that isn't explained. I can definitely see that I create my own interpretation of reality. I've noticed that how I experience reality is strongly affected by the language that I use to describe my experience. Having noticed that, I want to gain better control over the language that I use to describe my experience. My desire is to create one or more practice groups that use some structured communication games to help me and everyone else participating improve our control over how we frame the world, or how the world appears to us -- that's Perceptual Sorcery.

I don't yet know the best way to structure this group, so I expect we'll go through some rounds of experimenting with the format, be it in-person or zoom, meeting in small groups to start, conversational groups of two or more, or other variables it might be useful to play with. Hopefully members can be a little playful about that, and not expect perfect events right out of the gate. I'd like to have fun with this, but also gain the benefits of controlling my world's lenses.
