Welcome to Perth Pool Players, a diverse and friendly community of pool enthusiasts and newcomers alike. Whether you're a seasoned player or have never held a cue, our group is the perfect place to enjoy the game, meet new people and have a great time.
I believe that pool is a game for everyone, regardless of gender, age or skill level. I want all players to feel comfortable and have fun.
We'll pair you up with friendly players who can show you the ropes. Experienced players should come and share your skills and enjoy some friendly competition.

Short version:
- Ball in hand after a foul.
- Sink the black in any pocket to win.
Object of the game
- The goal is to pocket all your assigned balls and then legally pocket the 8 ball to win the game.
Breaking and determining groups
- Any player can break.
- The table is "open" until a group is determined.
- The first ball legally pocketed after the break determines the player's group.
Taking Turns
- The cue ball must hit one of your group's balls first.
- You can use your ball to pocket another of your balls. The first ball contacted must be from your group.
- Players continue shooting until they miss, commit a foul, or win the game.
- After a foul, the incoming player gets "ball in hand" anywhere on the table.
Key Fouls
- Hitting the opponent's balls first.
- Not hitting any ball with the cue ball.
- Pocketing the cue ball (scratch).
- Touching any ball with your body or clothes.
Winning the Game
- Legally pocket all your group's balls
- Legally pocket the 8 ball
Losing the Game
- Pocketing the 8 ball before all your group's balls are pocketed.
- Committing a foul while pocketing the 8 ball.
