A circular walk from Helpston, the birthplace of the poet John Clare (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Clare).

We will pass through the small hamlet of Ashton, walk on towards Woodcroft Castle (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woodcroft_Castle), before returning to Helpston.

Please arrive on time as we will leave promptly. Depending from which direction you come, there is a level crossing which can sometimes cause delays, so allow extra travel time.

We will stop for a break at some point, so do bring lunch/snacks/whatever.

Please check the meetup site before setting off. Walks aren't usually cancelled, but a last-minute check is advisable.

We will meet outside The Bluebell Inn, on Woodgate, Helpston, where you will find plenty of on-road parking.
