Frost Centre Trails Hike
Details
Another more challenging hike for those who dare.
The Frost Centre is on Hwy 35 between Carnarvon and Dorset.
The official description says:
"A number of stacked loops totaling 11km meander through the forest adjacent to St. Nora Lake. This trail system offers a little bit of everything, from millennia old geological formations which give insight into the last significant ice age, to large bogs, towering cliff faces, mixed forests, challenging climbs and spectacular lookouts."
So be ready for 11+ km of hiking. The terrain is hilly with a few steep climbs. plus slippery rocks in places.
Meet at the parking lot (20130 Highway 35 North).
Bring a lunch and appropriate gear for late November weather.
If we are done early, there are ski trails on the other side of the highway to walk on.
