Our Model & The Event: Ira Balan

Ira is a fine art and fashion model from the Ukraine who splits her time between Europe and Canada. Ira is very versatile in styles, expressions, and posing. She likes to create shapes and play with feelings. Usually, Ira just need a "mood" to follow, then she tends to adapt to the photographer's style without the need for directions. Ira positions herself as a nude model because she loves female nudity and loves her body, but she also is ready to work in different directions including lingerie and fashion. Ira always guarantee professionalism, responsibility, initiative, and a positive atmosphere during a shoot. Looking forward to having Ira in the studio again for a couple of workshops.

We will be a small group of 4 photographers and myself, so there will be lots of time for each photographer to have some time with Ira, so each photographer should get about 1/2hr with Ira over the course of the workshop. The focus will be creating images that explore the shapes, shadows, and beauty of the female form.

As there is a large south facing window in the studio, we will be using natural light for this workshop.

**NOTE** \- In order to ensure we are following Covid safety guidelines\, photographers attending workshops must\, before the workshop begins\, have their temperature taken\, use hand sanitizer\, complete a Covid questionnaire & tracking forms\, social distance in the studio\, and wear a mask for the full duration of the workshop\.

PRECAUTIONS WE WILL BE TAKING FOR Covid-19

Covid-19 presents extraordinary challenges for businesses, communities and families. It is also providing huge challenges for artists and fine art models who derive most of their income from modelling. While circumstances are changing quickly, we can navigate these difficulties by working together, and by looking out for each other.

The workshop as always will also be small and limited to a maximum of 3 photographers to maintain a 6ft separation between photographers. Photographers MUST WEAR MASKS during the workshop.

We Require that any person thinking of signing up for a workshop, NOT sign up if within the last 14 days;
1 ) You have experienced, or been in close contact with someone with flu-like symptoms ( fever, dry cough, fatique), or been diagnosed with, or been in close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with, COVID-19; or
2 ) Your travels have included any country/ location outside Canada ( including the USA) in the last 14days.
If any of the above is applicable to you, please do not register for a workshop.

Potential Cancellation of Workshops - We will be constantly reviewing recommendations from the Federal government, the Province, and Health officials. If things should change in the next day or two, or if the model notifies us of a change in her thoughts/status, workshops may be cancelled. We will rely on photographers to monitor themselves, and drop out of a workshop if their status should change.

• DSLR camera
• 24-70mm lens, 24-105mm, 50mm, 85mm lens
• A fully charged battery
• Freshly Formatted Memory Card

Our Sessions :
Our sessions are small and intimate. Unlike other workshops in Toronto , there is never more than 4 people and myself at any given time. This allows for class collaboration, and hands on coaching. Classes will always run as long as we have 3 people registered.

Model Release Forms:
A model release for non-commercial purposes, signed by the model, will provided to each photographer. All photographs from the photo shoot can be used for personal promotional purposes in your portfolio, on the web, in print media such post cards. Images prints can also be produced and sold in gallery settings.

Cancellation Policy:
Photographers are expected to pay 100% of the workshop fee if you cancel within 24hrs of the workshop.
