What we’re about
This is a backpacking group for 20’s and 30’s from Philadelphia and surrounding areas who love to go backpacking all along the east coast!
Anyone from any state is welcome to join our group! We frequently visit New York and Virginia for our trips and occasional New Hampshire.
We are beginner friendly and are always looking to introduce people to the activity! We also hike rain or shine and in the winter!
If you have any questions please message one of the the event organizers and we will respond promptly.

https://4142298.xyz/xplorenmorephilly/events/304044543PARKING LOT CHANGE: WE HAVE ABOUT 80 PEOPLE ON THIS HIKE SO WE MOVED IT OVER TO CADENCE BIKE SHOP.... Parking sings there say that cars may be towed, but you can park on street or at the train station above the wall.
I anticipate the hike taking about 2 hours.
We will be doing an intermediate level hike through Wissahickon (totaling about 7 miles). We will hike down the “Yellow Trail” cross over the Wissahickon Creek, and come back on the other side of the creek.
We will then go to Wissahickon Brewing Co to watch the Clemson Pitt game!
The hike has some rocks and steps, so good hiking shoes are recommended, but not required.
Leashed dogs are welcome if friendly with other people and other dogs, but they are your responsibility. Please clean up after your dogs and follow all park rules and regulations.

Happy October Backpacking to you all! I wanted to let you know about “Xplore N More Philly” which is an awesome group of younger (20s, 30s, and 40s age people) doing events in the Philly and surrounding areas, including BACKPACKING, camping, rock climbing, hiking, skiing/snowboarding, and paddling events, as well as happy hours and other social events.

I didn’t really intend to take over this group, but since the organizer doesn’t wish to pay the new, higher fees for Meetup, he dropped the group, and I wanted to give you a heads up about Xplore N More.
