The Book of Acts, A Defense of Christianity

In Acts 5, the Jewish Rabbi Gamaliel cautioned the Sanhedrin not to act hastily against the apostles, the gospel's spread, and the church's growth in Jerusalem. He said: "... for if this plan or action should be of men, it will be overthrown; but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them; or else you may even be found fighting against God." As we study the book of Acts, we see Luke defending the latter position that Christianity is of God and cannot be overthrown.
