What we’re about
Do you make games or do anything related to the creation of games? Ever wanted to make a game of your own? Join Philly Game Mechanics, a throwdown for game developers in Philly! We talk games, play games, make games, compete, collaborate, and share. Dev Night is a creative time for creative people in a creative space. Programmers, artists, designers, writers, students, hobbyists, full-time devs, board game-makers, and enthusiasts are all welcome!
Time and Place: We currently host all of our meetups on our Discord server but are looking to start hosting in-person meetups again very soon!
What to bring:
A laptop. (Or any other game design tools you have)
Your game or game idea. Bring a game idea to collaborate on or bring your finished game to show off. How you build and design your game is entirely up to you and whomever you might collaborate with! Our members use everything from Unity to Twine to Gamemaker to Unreal to Scissor to Paper to Glue and everything in between.
Headphones. If you want to concentrate on your work, but find noise distracting, headphones will come in handy.
