What we’re about
The main focus of this group is for your pup to gain confidence in a public setting and become more comfortable going out in public and attending dog friendly events, restaurants, shopping and venues. There may be events at dog parks or hiking but that is not the reason for this group. High energy is okay on the other hand aggressive, growling, nipping and biting is not allowed. Please read full description.
I have a rather large, energetic and gentle pup. I understand the need to train, exercise and socialize a puppy. She is a german shepherd, American pit bull terrier and Australian cattle dog mix who looks like a yellow Labrador. She has very high energy and loves cats, dogs, children and adults.
Where:
I would like to post public outings at dog friendly events, hikes, parks and venues in the valley. Suggestions are welcome. Feel free to message me if you would like to host a dog friendly meetup.
Due to the high energy of my sweet puppy I may have to leave early depending on the venue and if she can contain her puppiness in public in the beginning. You are welcome to stay as a group if I need to leave. She is 7 months and just beginning to rest a bit during the day.
Who:
Open to all fur-parents of any age over 18. Feel free to bring the family as long as there is a parent with a child under the age of 18.
Open to all puppies and dogs who have a gentle play disposition. Calm fur-babies of all sizes are welcome!!! Growlers, nippers, biters, wrestlers and aggressive players may be asked to leave and most likely removed from further outings.
Requirements:
- All vaccinations and spayed or neutered (some events and venues may require proof, always a good idea to keep a copy on you)
- Gentle disposition only, This is a group for calm socialization not a group to allow your dog to rough house with other dogs. This is a group to help your dog become comfortable in restaurants, shopping areas, on hiking trails, at public dog friendly events. This is not a space to let your dog get it's energy out with other dogs wrestling for an hour.
Maisie and I look forward to meeting you soon,
Lori
