We're starting up a few different kinds of meetups within the Victoria Photography Meetup Group, and one of them is exploring the gear we use, and how it all works with the kind of photography we love and take part in. Everything from discussions on strobes and flash, to lens discussions, to studio lighting, to landscape photography gear, camera bags, and more.

This is the **first of the Gear Talk meetups**, and **the focus of this meetup is your favourite camera** and any tips and advice you can share on how you get the most out of it. **The purpose of this meetup is to share your knowledge and experience** with others joining in, to help us understand our equipment better, and find more advanced ways to use it. **It's not about the most expensive piece of kit**, or the latest collectible, but the camera you go to most often, the one that has become second nature to you, or the one that gets you most inspired when you pick it up to use it.

If attending, please take part in the following:

* Bring the camera you want to talk about
* Be prepared to talk about 3-5 minutes about the camera, what features you like the most, how you use it, and any other interesting information about it.
* There may be questions from other attendees after your short talk.

We'll go around the table so everyone gets to take part in some fun and educational discussion. Any type of camera is acceptable for this meetup, from smartphones to film cameras, from gopros, to medium format.

Because this is a first meetup in the Gear Talk category, and because there's active participation, we'll limit the attendees to just 6, to see how it works out. If there's high demand, I'll book another meeting covering the same topic a week later.

Hosting at 5th Street Grill, where we can enjoy a beer, glass of wine, coffee, or light snacks while chatting up our favourite cameras.
