This group is for lovers of swing dancing in the Piedmont Triad who are looking to meet other dancers, and share dance & lesson opportunities. Piedmont Swing Dance Society is a volunteer organization dedicated to promoting swing dancing in the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina. Come dance with us! We host dances featuring live bands most 4th Saturdays at the Greensboro Shrine Club at 5010 High Point Road, Greensboro, NC 27403. $12 for PSDS Members/Students 21 and under with Student ID, and $15 for Non-members. Cash or cards accepted. No partner or experience is necessary. For those who are new to Swing Dancing, we offer an Introductory Jitterbug/East Coast Swing Dance lesson at 7:00 p.m. included with the price of admission. Live Music and Dancing 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Annual memberships are available at the door for $20 ($30 for couples). A PSDS membership provides a $3 discount at every PSDS dance, $4 off every Triangle Swing Dance Society (TSDS) dance, a raffle at each dance, and additional perks as well. You will receive your official PSDS Membership card the same evening you join.
Everyone is welcome to attend our non-aloholic, non-smoking events or join our organization. No outside food or drink is permitted by the venue. All ages and abilities are welcome. Wear comfortable clothes and comfortable shoes (leather soles work best), and bring your friends. We also offer workshops and other fun activities during the year, so be on the lookout for those as well. Workshops and lessons are a good way to improve your dancing while having a great time.
