Zing Laser Certification

Class Description & Agenda:

In this class we will cover everything you need to know to get started using the Zing Laser Cutter/Etcher!

What will you learn?

*We will go over how to create a file so it will be read by the Zing.
*What settings to choose when sending a file to the Zing.
*How to align the material in the Zing to get a proper cut.

You don't need to bring any special materials for the class, but if you have a particular project in mind you may want to bring any files you have for that and we may use your project as an example of how to create something using the laser cutter.

$20 PPM-Members/ $40 Non-Members

Scheduling:

This class is offered on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. If this time or date does not work with your schedule, please contact us - https://pikespeakmakerspace.org/Contact. Not all, but some instructors offer one-on-one training that we can help schedule.

(2) Covid-19 notice: Per the recent changes in guidance for COVID safety, we no longer require masks at Pikes Peak Makerspace. However, if you are not fully vaccinated (2 weeks after last dose), or just prefer to be extra cautious, please wear a mask. We have masks available for no charge near the front door.

If you do not show up and have not communicated to us that you will not be able to attend, the class cost is not refundable.
