Holiday Euchre Tourament - Prizes will be Awarded!

Come Celebrate the Holidays with a Little ? Competition!

While we typically play "friendly" Euchre and offer lessons for learners, this tournament is only for the "skilled" to play. You are welcome to come and join in the holiday camaraderie but please do not sign up to play unless you are able to follow the RULES below.

The cost is $5 and some contribution to the potluck. Cathy has already volunteered to make a ham. Please let us know what you intend to bring on the discussion tab.

We will also have the pleasure of enjoying an endless loop of holiday music, whatever libations we bring, and plenty of good cheer. Who would want to miss this ??

Euchre Tournament RULES:

1. No talking across the table - this typically means you can't say things to indicate to your partner what your trump preference is or whether you have a lot of that particular suit, but for the tournament it will also mean you will need to remember what was selected as "trump" and who played what card without being reminded.

2. Play “in turn” which means you don't throw your card out of the regular order of play.

3. Once laid, once played - which means once you put a card on the table you can not change your mind and replace it with another.

4. No stealing the deal and No hang the dealer

We will rotate players - one member of the winning team will move to the table on the right and one member from the losing team will move left - so everyone will play with different people. While the game is played in teams, each player will fill out their own score card. We will either play for a set amount of time or choose a set number of games, but the winner will be the player with the highest overall score.

Prizes will be awarded for 1st & 2nd place and best potluck contribution!
