Join us for our 6 part workshop series on the fundamental basics of narcissism. For the next six weeks we will explore the definitions and types of the narcissistic and antagonistic personality. This course is designed to simplify and streamline confusing information provided about narcissism often found on the internet and social media in order to assist members into understanding this oft-confusing topic. We have created this course utilizing feedback from our members as to common questions we are being asked to help you in your journey of understanding and recovery from narcissistic abuse.

**COURSE FIVE: HOW TO COPE WITH THE NARCISSIST IN YOUR LIFE**

*Tonight we are going to discuss how to deal with narcissistic or antagonistic people in your life. From family that you may not be able to cut out entirely to partners who are toxic, you may not know what the next steps are to coping with their behavior on a day to day basis. We will go over the ways to limit contact or go no contact entirely, coping strategies for you to deal with the grief of losing someone, dealing with emotional hangovers and healthy options for you to move forward before the recovery phase in a calm manner.*

Each course is 90 minutes long and can be attended on a drop in basis. The courses will take place each Sunday night from 6:00 - 7:30 pm EST and will have accompanying material for your review post class in the form of the Power Point presentation. This session will be six courses long and include the following topics:

Class One: A Beginners Guide to Narcissism
Class Two: Tactics and Identification of Narcissistic Manipulation
Class Three: Am I The Narcissist? CPTSD & Codependency Defined
Class Four: How to Spot a Narcissist: A Discussion of Red Flags
Class Five: Ways to Deal with a Narcissist: Coping Mechanisms
Class Six: Recovery from Narcissistic Abuse & CPTSD

**YOUR ORGANIZER:** As a child of a malignant narcissist and a near absent enabling father, I had no idea that my harmful emotional coping patterns and propensity for toxic relationships were the result of a disregulated childhood full of drama and emotional abuse. I knew my mother was a narcissist but I was never sure quite the effect it had on me until I began therapy and peer support. My goal as your organizer is to work alongside people who 'get it' in healing.

**Cost:** $15.00 per class on a drop in basis. You do NOT have to be an established member to attend this workshop however we strongly suggest our peer support meetings to help the process along. Attendance at our peer support groups will require attendance at a First Timer's Event. Cost is non refundable. All attendees will be provided course material at the end of the class for reference.

**SUGGESTED READING:** I strongly suggest obtaining the book *It's Not You: Identifying and Healing from Narcissistic People* by Dr. Ramani Durvasula as a workalong with the workshop. Many of our assignments will be fortified by using the book alongside our workshop meetings.

As always, *The Language of Letting Go: Daily Meditations on Codependency* by Melody Beattie is also strongly recommended to those who lean towards codependent tendencies. I will frequently refer to some of the teachings in this book to bolster certain recovery techniques.
