Important update at of July 2024: We have a $5 membership fee every six months to cover the cost of the Meetup page. You can just bring it in cash or Venmo, Zelle, etc. whenever you attend your first meeting and I (Chelsea, the organizer) will keep track of when everyone pays.
Welcome to The Book is Always Better: Women's Book Club! This Meetup group is perfect for women who love diving into thought-provoking literature and engaging in meaningful discussions. We'll explore a diverse range of books, from timeless classics to contemporary novels, appreciating that the book is always better. Join us to share recommendations, connect with fellow women readers, and embark on an exciting journey through the power of words.
We meet once monthly at Spoonwood Brewing Company in Bethel Park. All women are welcome.
For some info on how we choose our books: We will read from any genre, fiction or nonfiction, and we pick based on general group interest and availability at the local libraries. That means we do not choose brand new releases, but can keep desired books on a list to revisit when they're less in demand. We also know our members have busy lives so we try not to choose very long books and typically do not choose books in a series.
