What we’re about
Podchats is a meetup group for individuals who want to engage in meaningful discussions without the need for assigned reading. Like a book club, but with podcasts. We talk about topics that might inspire change, challenge ourselves, or spark curiosity. Questions will be provided to help support our conversations. Listen to the chosen episode before arrival. Most episodes will focus on relationships, community and personal growth.
Whether you're a podcast enthusiast or simply enjoy thoughtful conversations, this group is for you. Join us for a blend of intellectual stimulation, personal growth, and inspiration. Diversity is highly encouraged. Let's explore ideas and share our insights in a welcoming and open-minded environment.
Location: Wildwood Taphouse 12545 NW Cornell Rd
(in the loft, unfortunately, there is no elevator)
Additional events will be on Zoom
The in person events will be kept to 12-15 people; we will divide into 2 groups if needed.
Disclaimer: All members and their guests participating assume their own personal liability. We are not responsible for any property loss or damage. Please ensure safety of self and belongings.

Brené Brown: Shame is the Gremlim Who Says, "You're not good enough"
From the Depression Detox ShowShame is an unspoken epidemic, the secret behind many forms of broken behavior. Brené Brown, is a vulnerability and shame researcher. She explores what shame is, how it grows and why vulnerability is way to move forward.
Step into the arena, fail miserably, shine a light on the petri dish and get rid of the gremlins. (I know, this doesn't make any sense right now)Group norms: Please share about your experiences while maintaining your comfort level. Step up and step down (say your thoughts and encourage others to respond by asking a question). Pass the ball around. Be open minded and willing to learn about yourself and how your values and needs might be similar or different from others. We are not here to persuade others to think or believe in something.
