Are you interested in political discourse? Come join this group as we discuss political issues through Socratic seminar. We hope to find common ground on that which we agree and better understand diverse perspectives on that which we disagree.
I am Aric Hermann, and I ran for KS House 53 recently as a Libertarian candidate. I did so because I believe in my political philosophy, and I also think that the 2 party, partisan politics we see from our representatives is the greatest threat to our way of life. While this group will be loosely associated with the Kansas Libertarian Party, we are not officially linked to any party. All political philosophies are welcome to discuss a chosen topic for the event. People should come with an open mind that there will be people who disagree with you. This group is NOT about winning a debate as we have no trophies to give you. This is more about diving deeper into the pros and cons of an opinion. Know one has to change their mind at the end of the evening. It is about listening and speaking to others through free speech. Name calling is not permissible behavior.
