Portland Author Social Club (by Author Event Network)

!!! Note the date: 11/20/2024 - BEFORE Thanksgiving! !!!

In the interest of trying to get a bit more structured, here's something of an agenda for what to expect at one of our happy hour events.

5:30 - Arrive and be seated
5:45 - A brief round of introductions (Name, Genre, Expectations)
6:00 - Book swap for those participating. Bring a book to share (yours or someone elses!)
6:15 - General conversation and shenanigans or perhaps group activity.
7:15 - Close out (stragglers welcome, I will generally try to stay until 8PM or so)

Come enjoy libations and fun at the AEN-sponsored happy hour.

Come meet other Portland/Vancouver area authors for brunch! We're a creative, casual group, always looking for new members to initiate into our cult.... Oh wait, no, we're PERFECTLY NORMAL AND COMPLETELY NONTHREATENING. ;)

Seriously! Writing is hard and often very isolating. So shake off your introvertedness and come hang out with us on the last Saturday of every EVEN month (February, April, June, August, October, December). Good food, good company, and maybe a little professional networking thrown in! :)
