CJ Monday Tuneful Improv Jam - 8 pm

During this workshop, we will play with one to four chords for each 10-15 minute deep groove where very bit will be improvised. We'll create simple melodies and lyrics and help build each song together in the moment. We won't need to use any charts or already-known songs.

Learning to improvise simply and "tunefully" is a key to solid musical exchange, and a cornerstone of quality improvising. Leaving the audience with something simple that they can whistle is the sign of a good musician. Practicing that type of creative skill in a supportive room is a great way to improve and connect. If you can follow a basic song structure and can improvise with a basic Youtube backing track, you'll really enjoy this workshop.

Everybody is welcome, and everybody participates.

Come prepared with all the gear necessary for you to make music. Studio equipment is available to use on a first-come, first-served basis.

There is a $20 suggested donation for those who can afford it.
