What we’re about
The Portland Hardware Meetup is a place for hardware professionals, newbies, and the hardware-curious to connect, share projects & ideas, and learn from each other. We bring together a strong community of folks who are building businesses with physical products, be it a cold fusion engine or a bionic fork, but also wearables or robots or just about anything.

For our ninth Hardware Meetup, we will be going on location to Portland's largest glass blowing facility. We will hear from Nic Ramirez, co-founder of North Drinkware on their approach to product development and innovation. We will then get to see some of the behind-the-scenes production of North's unique glassware products made right here in PDX. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about an exciting local brand and maker.
- North Drinkware is an Oregon-based company specializing in handblown glassware that incorporates three-dimensional, to-scale representations of iconic mountains. Founded by friends with a shared passion for design and the outdoors, each glass is crafted with exceptional detail, capturing the beauty of peaks like Mt. Hood, Mt. Rainier, and more. Known for its high-quality craftsmanship and commitment to local production, North Drinkware produces each piece one at a time using a proprietary blend of traditional glassblowing techniques and modern, innovative tools. With their line of glasses, new Outdoor Cups, custom Pendleton blankets, and other accessories, North Drinkware enables mountain lovers to truly bring the mountains home.
