Details

This hike will be more than an advanced hiker's hike.. it's going to be 30 miles of muddy, rainy, cold, dark conditions and should probably be considers an advanced sociopath's hike. Nevertheless, let's hike the longest trail in Forest Park on the second shortest weekend of daylight of the year!

Total miles: 30.2 miles
Elevation gain: 3,113.
Difficulty level: 10/10.

Please note that this trail is not an out and back and will require carpooling to the trailhead. We will be meeting at the Oregon Zoo trailhead and will be carpooling to the trailhead near Newberry Road.

This hike will be occurring in December, which means the weather (and subsequentially, the trails) may not be in good condition. Please prepare for this hike by bringing plenty of food, water, and clothing.

This group will move at a steady pace and take occasional breaks. However, due to length of this trail, if you begin to start trailing behind the group consistently, you will be asked to either turn around or continue at your own pace.
