What we’re about
The Sierra Club is America’s largest and most influential environmental organization. Explore, enjoy and protect the planet with us.
The Portland/Vancouver Sierra Club Outings & Events Meetup has two goals.
- We offer local outings led by Sierra Club Outings Leaders.
- We announce and promote other Sierra Club events and activities, including meetings, presentations, and occasionally an event from an allied organization.
Outings Leaders are typically Sierra Club volunteers, and the range of outings is as diverse as all of our leaders’ interests: hiking, backpacking, biking, and kayaking for example. Each Outings Leader has a passion for the outdoors and a willingness to share their passion with others. Regardless of your level of experience, you may choose from a variety of outings that reflect the diversity of our Leaders’ interests.
We welcome Sierra Club members and non-members in the greater Portland and Vancouver area to join us. If you are interested in Sierra Club Membership, please join us. We’d love to have you!
We invite you to VOLUNTEER with the Sierra Club.
Whether your interest is in activism/conservation, sustainability, hikes, outings, singles events, web design, political efforts, education & outreach, or public relations, we need your energy, ideas, and enthusiasm!
Make a DONATION to Sierra Club's Oregon Chapter today! Your generous gift is a guaranteed investment in the future of our local environment and the protection of our most special places! Donate to the Oregon Chapter here!
