Lustrous - brilliant; splendid; resplendent; illustrious.
Lustrous Ladies - We are women navigating the next phase, redefining the stereotypes of older women as we create community and connect with each other. We participate in a variety of activities - walks, discussions, meals, field trips, and theater and music experiences.
Lustrous Ladies’ members are women over 50, single, married, mothers, grandmas, retired or one day to be retired, lifelong residents and new to PDX. We come together to explore what our city has to offer, discuss anything and everything, celebrate our commonalities and learn from our differences. We strive to be welcoming to all with minimal drama and to be a safe space for growth. And above all, we have fun and enjoy being together.
Requirements for members:
- Women 50 years and older
- CLEAR, CLOSE UP, CURRENT facial photos provided
- Real first names listed
- Attend an event every other month or so
After the first 60 days, annual membership dues are $5 which help pay the MeetUp platform fees. If you choose not to pay, MeetUp will automatically remove you from the group at the end of the 60 days or at your annual renewal date.
Active members are vital to Lustrous Ladies as we strive to build friendships and community. Our roster of about 200 members is reviewed periodically, and those who have not attended any events will be notified and removed. You may reactivate membership when you are more able to attend LL activities.
