What we’re about
Who wants to jam? This group is for anyone who wants to take their guitar playing out of their bedroom and start playing with other people. Any age, pretty much any standard of musicianship (the basic chords will do), with any kind of guitar - lets have some fun, learn some new tricks and play some toons!
I had been looking for Guitar jam meetups in Portsmouth and Southsea - couldn't find one - so decided to start one myself.
We meet up every couple of weeks an pubs around Southsea and Old Portsmouth, usually on a Tuesday or Wednesday evening. We get 10-15 people at each meetup - and have become affiliated with a good few people on the Southsea music scene - and attendees are doing Open Mikes and even a few gigs around the venues of Southsea.
If you use Ultimate Guitar Tabs you can also see the tabs we are playing HERE
Come and join us!

- Maggie May - Rod Stewart
- Handbags and Gladrags

If there is something you want to play then we'll have a crack at that too - we always like to try something new - and suggestions have been as diverse as Dolly Parton (Jolene) and George Michael - and all were a blast! The Dolphin is a nice pub in Old Portsmouth - it serves food and some nice beers. We will be in the upstairs room.
The more the merrier - so come along whatever your standard (I am distinctly intermediate!) - we play songs that pretty much anyone can play.If you use Ultimate Guitar Tabs you can also see the tabs we are playing HERE.
If you can, bring a tablet/phone/laptop to bring tabs up on.
Most importantly, bring a couple of songs that you want to play!We look forward to welcoming you!

The only warning is that if the song is particularly obscure then you may need to lead the singing too!We will be at the Barley Mow pub in Southsea.
