Dallas-based restaurateur Alberto Lombardi has brought his namesake Italian restaurant to Uptown Park, transforming the former Tasting Room into a chic dining destination. If Lombardi sounds familiar, it’s because he’s made quite a mark in the restaurant industry over the past 40 years, bringing iconic spots like Toulouse to Houston and launching a variety of unique concepts across Austin, Atlanta, Mexico, and Dallas.
At Lombardi Cucina Italiana, you’ll find elegant interiors adorned in soft ivory, cozy demi-lune sofas around white tablecloths, and stunning Venetian glass chandeliers. The dining room is wrapped in hand-plastered, bone-colored walls, with magnificent old-growth olive trees creating a lush indoor garden ambiance.

On a warm fall day, you can enjoy Lombardi’s expansive patio, sipping on an Italian G + T ($14, made with orange marmalade, lime, and smoked rosemary) or a glass of Barolo.
