During the holiday season, everyone is busy. There is so much to do. Everyone seems to be rushing, worrying, preparing, planning, scheduling, and navigating last minute tasks and responsibilities. Some may feel overwhelmed, exhausted, guilty, angry, or even tearful. For those who have lost a loved one recently – or anytime in the past – , this time of year can be especially challenging.
Self-care and Self-love are always extremely important, but even more important during the holiday season.
Without taking time for self-care and self-love you will become worn out, and your resilience will weaken. Symptoms of depression and anxiety can become exacerbated by additional stress. Symptoms that are inflamed by stress are difficult to endure, especially with the added pressure of the holidays.
Taking care of yourself is not selfish. It’s a way of making yourself stronger, and becoming a better person, so that you can be at your best for everyone and everything else!
One way of finding time to take care of yourself is to strengthen your meditation practice. This is why I am offering this guided meditation to relieve holiday stress and anxiety.
Let’s take an hour, just one hour during this busy time to meditate together. You’ll feel so much better. And, you deserve it!
