Meetup #1 - From Research to Reality: Building AI Applications from Scratch

Ever wondered how an AI application transitions from a simple idea to a fully functional product? On Thursday 19/12 at fromScratch Studio HQ in Thessaloniki, we’ll take you through the complete journey—from identifying a problem, conducting research, and building datasets, to developing machine learning models and scaling them into a practical digital platform.
We’ll spotlight our project on noise pollution and house price estimation, where we:

• Created an entirely new open-source dataset for noise pollution.
• Investigated the impact of noise pollution on house price estimation with machine learning, leading to a research paper.
• Turned our findings into a digital platform for estimating housing prices, integrating noise pollution as a key factor.

What to Expect
Attendees will follow this end-to-end process, gaining insights into the challenges and successes of building an AI solution from scratch. After the presentation, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the noise pollution dataset and experiment with the methodology. We’ll provide access to everything you need on a GitHub repository.
