Walk at Lake Artemesia

This walk happens on the first and third Thursday of every month. From September through March, the walks start at 3:00. From April through August, we will start at 5:00.

Watch the seasons change at Artemesia! It's a little different every time you go. Late spring brings warblers, orioles, gnatcatchers. Summer brings nests - green herons, orioles, gnatcatchers, to name a few that have been found in the past. Fall brings more migrants and the disappearance of the nesting birds. Winter belongs to the water birds - ducks, geese, swans that spend their winters with us.

Bring water and wear sun protection. If you need to borrow binoculars or a field guide somebody usually has extras to share.
